India's Lok Sabha Election 2024 LIVE: PM Modi Vows ST Reservation Safeguard in Rally

The first two phases of the Lok Sabha elections have concluded in India. On Friday, approximately 60% of eligible voters cast their votes for the second phase's 88 seats. The first phase saw voting for 102 seats. Now, attention turns to the third phase on May 7, when 95 seats across 12 states and union territories will go to polls.

A total of 2963 nominations were filed for these 95 Lok Sabha seats. Election officials declared 1563 of these applications valid. Following the deadline for withdrawal of nominations, the count of contesting candidates stands at 1351.
