The seat-sharing formula within the NDA in Bihar has been finalized. Sources indicate that the BJP has agreed to allocate five seats to Chirag Paswan's party. However, Chirag's uncle, Pashupati Paras, hasn't been allotted a single seat. In response, Union Minister and Rashtriya Lok Janshakti Party President Pashupati Kumar Paras remarked after a parliamentary board meeting that they had decided to wait for the BJP's complete list of candidates before approaching BJP leaders, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and Home Minister Amit Shah to review their five MPs. After the announcement, if they do not receive deserved respect, the party is independent and will look at all available options.

It has been observed that Uncle Pashupati Paras is uncomfortable with the attention his nephew Chirag is receiving from the BJP. The unease followed Chirag's recent meeting with BJP National President J.P. Nadda. After the meeting, when Chirag was questioned about his uncle, he said he was unsure whether his uncle was even part of the NDA. He added that a seat-sharing arrangement in Bihar has been determined and stated they were set to achieve victory in all 40 seats in Bihar and over 400 seats nationwide.

Bihar's Definitive Seat-Sharing Formula Revealed!

According to sources, the NDA has resolved the long-standing suspense over seat-sharing in Bihar. The agreement includes allocation of one seat to Jitan Ram Manjhi's HAM party and one seat to Upendra Kushwaha's RLM, while Chirag Paswan will likely receive five seats including Hajipur. In contrast, Nitish Kumar's JD(U) could contest 16 seats, but Pashupati Paras's party might not receive a single seat in the NDA.

Consensus to Appoint Pashupati Paras as Governor!

Sources suggest that the BJP has proposed appointing Pashupati Paras as a Governor and making Prince Raj, the MP from Samastipur and Chirag Paswan's cousin, a minister in the Bihar government. Prince Raj became an MP after winning a by-election in Samastipur following his father Ramchandra Paswan's demise. However, a split in the Lok Janshakti Party in 2021 saw Prince Raj siding with Pashupati Paras. Following this decision, Paras expressed discontent and supposedly began considering an alliance with the Mahagathbandhan.
