It has been observed that Uncle Pashupati Paras is uncomfortable with the attention his nephew Chirag is receiving from the BJP. In contrast, Nitish Kumar's JD(U) could contest 16 seats, but Pashupati Paras's party might not receive a single seat in the NDA.

Sources suggest that the BJP has proposed appointing Pashupati Paras as a Governor and making Prince Raj, the MP from Samastipur and Chirag Paswan's cousin, a minister in the Bihar government. Prince Raj became an MP after winning a by-election in Samastipur following his father Ramchandra Paswan's demise. However, a split in the Lok Janshakti Party in 2021 saw Prince Raj siding with Pashupati Paras. Following this decision, Paras expressed discontent and supposedly began considering an alliance with the Mahagathbandhan.
