Former Union Minister Pashupati Kumar Paras stated that during the Lok Sabha elections, his party, the Rashtriya Lok Janshakti Party (RLJP), faced injustice, but they remained with the NDA. Pashupati Paras was addressing journalists after an RLJP meeting. He mentioned that they received a raw deal in the Lok Sabha elections, but they stayed loyal. He expressed hope that BJP President JP Nadda would understand this and give them appropriate importance in the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections next year.
Paras shared that RLJP aims to contest one of the four assembly seats where by-elections are due. These seats are vacant as the legislators were elected to Parliament.
Candidate Announced for Tarari Seat
According to PTI, Pashupati Paras proposed RLJP National Vice President Narendra Nath Pandey aka Sunil as the "candidate" for the Tarari seat, vacated by CPI (ML) MLA Sudama Prasad's resignation. Paras stated that Narendra Nath Pandey would provide a tough fight. He noted Pandey's excellent independent candidacy in the 2020 elections. BJP should consider this.
'We'll Contest All 243 Seats on Our Own'
Former Union Minister Pashupati Paras stated that in our meeting, we resolved to strengthen RLJP and support NDA in the assembly elections, provided we receive a respectful share. We will contest all 243 seats on our own.
What About Joining the INDIA Block?
When asked if he was trying to alert the BJP about possibly joining the INDIA Block, Paras said they would not do so. He emphasized that they only seek the respect they deserve. However, he concluded that only time will tell what happens in the future.
