Pakistan has voiced its desire for dialogue and establishing peace with India. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif stated in Iran that he is ready to talk over every issue with India, emphasizing that his nation seeks dialogue.
This development comes at a time when Pakistan feels cornered on the international stage. India's 'Operation Sindoor' has clearly demonstrated its stance, making Pakistan realize that India will not retreat and is prepared to deal with terrorism firmly.
Pakistan's PM Shehbaz Sharif is on a four-nation tour. Between May 25 and May 30, 2025, he will visit Turkey, Iran, Azerbaijan, and Tajikistan.
Offering Dialogue to India
During a press conference, PM Shehbaz Sharif mentioned his readiness to discuss issues related to Kashmir and water. Additionally, conversations on terrorism and trade are also on the table.
He further stated that if India adopts an aggressive stance, they are well-equipped to respond, as they did a few days ago.
PM Sharif claimed victory for Pakistan in a four-day conflict with India.
India's Stance
India has made its position clear by notifying Pakistan that future dialogues will focus solely on the return of PoK and the issue of terrorism.
In a tragic terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu & Kashmir, 26 tourists lost their lives. Subsequently, under 'Operation Sindoor', from May 7 to May 10, military and terrorist sites in Pakistan and PoK were dismantled by India.
Pakistan suffered significant damage in India's retaliatory action, leading to their plea to halt the ground conflict, culminating in an agreement on a ceasefire.
