Continuously vocal against Putin, Trump had previously branded the Russian president as 'crazy.' Speaking to the media at New Jersey’s Morristown Airport, Trump launched a sharp attack, stating, 'I am not happy with Putin. He's completely gone mad. I no longer understand what's happened to this man.'

Trump's Continued Critique of Putin

While communicating with journalists, Trump expressed, 'I've known Putin for a long time, and we had a good relationship. But now he’s firing rockets, attacking cities, killing people. I don’t like it at all. I see nothing but madness in this man. We're in dialogue, yet he’s showering Kyiv and other cities with missiles. Something’s definitely wrong. I find it utterly unacceptable.'

'Putin has gone crazy'

On social media, Trump remarked, 'I've always had great relations with Russia's Vladimir Putin, but something changed with him. He has gone completely crazy, needlessly killing vast numbers, and not just soldiers. Missiles and drones rain down on Ukrainian cities without cause. I've long maintained that they want not just a piece but all of Ukraine, and perhaps that's proving true. However, such actions would lead to Russia’s downfall.'
