Pahalgam Latest Update: The Indian Navy successfully prepared for long-range precise attacks by conducting multiple anti-ship missile firings from its ships. This exercise took place amidst heightened tensions between India and Pakistan. Recently, a terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, claimed the lives of 26 tourists. India has vowed to bring the perpetrators, linked to Pakistan, to justice. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in his 'Mann Ki Baat' program, reiterated that the culprits will face stringent punishments.
Meanwhile, the Pakistani military conducted unprovoked firing across several locations near the Line of Control, to which Indian soldiers responded decisively. On Wednesday, India implemented several stern actions against Pakistan, such as suspending the Indus Water Treaty, closing the Attari border, and reducing diplomatic relations. In retaliation, Pakistan closed its airspace and severed all trade ties with India.
Recently, the Indian Navy showcased another successful demonstration of readiness by striking a 'sea-skimming' target with medium-range missiles in the western Indian Ocean. The Navy affirmed its constant preparedness to safeguard the maritime interests of the nation.
'Indian Navy Fully Prepared'
The Indian Navy stated, 'The ships of the Indian Navy have once again authenticated and demonstrated the readiness of platforms, systems, and crew for precise long-range offensive attacks through multiple successful anti-ship firings.' The statement continued, 'The Indian Navy stands ready, reliable, and futuristically prepared to defend the nation's maritime interests anytime, anywhere, and in any manner.'
The Indian Navy released videos of live firing at sea, but the exact timing of the exercise remains undisclosed.
Military sources disclosed that as tensions flare, the Pakistani military perpetuated unprovoked firing across the Line of Control opposite Tutmarigali and Rampur sectors on Saturday night. Similar actions were noted on Thursday and Friday nights. An Indian official remarked, 'Our troops effectively countered with small arms fire.'
