The Pahalgam attack has left the nation in mourning and anger. Security agencies are scouring the forests for the terrorists. It has come to light that two Pakistani terrorists were also involved in the attack. Additionally, two local terrorists have been identified as participants. Information about all four terrorists is emerging, and security agencies have released sketches of three suspects.
On Tuesday, 28 people lost their lives in the Basaran attack, with 17 others injured. The terrorists targeted tourists. From the southern Kashmir district of Anantnag to New Delhi, high alert has been instated with the army, NIA, police, and other agencies actively monitoring the area using drones and helicopters.
Two Terrorists Were Speaking in Pashto
According to sources, two of the local terrorists involved in the Basaran attack have been identified. Two Pakistani terrorists also took part. These attackers fired continuously with AK-47s for 15 to 20 minutes. Two of the attackers, who were speaking in Pashto, are confirmed to be Pakistani nationals. The local terrorists have been identified as Adil Ahmad Thakur and Ashif Sheikh.

Local Terrorists Linked to Lashkar and Jaish
Sources indicate that Adil Thakur is linked to Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and hails from Guri in Bijbehara, Jammu and Kashmir. Meanwhile, Ashif Sheikh has connections with Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) and resides in Monghama, Mir Mohalla (Tral). At the time of the attack, one to two terrorists wore body cameras and recorded the entire event.

Local Terrorists Under Security Agencies' Radar
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has recorded statements in this case, while forensic teams are collecting bullet shells and other evidence samples from the scene. Sources also reveal that local Lashkar module terrorists, Adil and Ashif, were already on security agencies' radar and are now being investigated as primary suspects in the Basaran attack. Investigative agencies are trying to determine where and how the attack was planned and which networks were involved.
