'Counting Bodies Isn't Our Job'
The Indian Army indicated that Pakistani soldiers were not initially our targets—the aim was solely to hit terrorist bases. It was only when Pakistan attacked in violation of the ceasefire that we delivered a powerful response, which significantly damaged the Pakistan Army. The army emphasized that our mission was to accurately hit targets, a task we expertly accomplished; counting bodies is not part of our work. Five Indian soldiers were martyred in Pakistan's retaliatory firing during the operation.

Air Marshal Avadhesh Kumar Bharti, Director General of Air Operations, mentioned that on May 8, the Indian Air Force targeted Pakistani surveillance radar sites in Lahore. This action was a precise response, followed by continued drone attacks from Pakistan, which we completely thwarted. He narrated that Pakistani drones and other UAVs attempted coordinated attacks on multiple Indian airbases, but India's pre-prepared air defense systems completely nullified all these threats.
