Following Kedarnath, the gates of Badrinath Dham in Uttarakhand have now been opened. On Sunday morning at 6 AM, the gates of the Badrinath Temple were opened for devotees amidst Vedic chanting and 'Victory to Badri Vishal Lal', with the temple beautifully decorated with blooming flowers. The Ganesh and door ceremonies were performed during the auspicious Brahma Muhurta.

Amidst the sweet tunes of the army band, devotees were seen chanting loudly in praise of Lord Badri Vishal. On the first day, about 20,000 pilgrims are expected to visit. Meanwhile, in Kedarnath, 32,000 pilgrims paid homage on the first day, setting a record in itself.

The world-renowned Shri Badrinath Dham gates have been opened after a six-month interval. The gates had been closed since November 18 of the last year for the winter season. With this, the gates of all four revered shrines of Uttarakhand - Kedarnath, Gangotri, Yamunotri, and now Badrinath - are open to devotees. The shrine committee had made special arrangements for the opening of the gates. On the occasion of the gate opening, Shri Badrinath Temple was decorated by the Shri Badrinath Floral Service Committee from Rishikesh in association with the temple committee.

The Badrinath pilgrimage is a significant pilgrimage in the Hindu faith, mainly undertaken by devotees of Lord Vishnu. The sacred abode located in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand stands at an altitude of 3,133 meters (10,279 feet) above sea level. The pilgrimage season typically begins at the end of April or the start of May and continues until November.
