In a heartbreaking event in Noida, an elderly man was fatally struck by an Audi. The pursuit for the Audi has resulted in its recovery by the Noida police in Delhi. Meanwhile, the search for the driver continues. CCTV assistance led to the retrieval of the car. Police located the vehicle at the NBBC parking area near AIIMS. Numerous teams were deployed for the task.
Approximately 150 CCTV footages were examined as part of the investigation. Seven teams were dedicated to finding the car. The Noida police then recovered the parked Audi from a parking lot in Delhi. The vehicle, with a Haryana license plate, has been reclaimed, and efforts to locate the owner through the registration number are on-going. The car was recovered from the NBBC parking near AIIMS.
A case was registered by the victim's son
The day before, the son of the deceased, Sandeep Sah, had accused the police of a lackluster investigation. The family stated that they had provided the CCTV footage of the accident to the police. Even then, no information on the car or driver was forthcoming. On Tuesday, the Noida police recovered the car from Delhi, but the driver remains unidentified.
The accident occurred on Sunday
According to information, the incident happened on a Sunday morning around 6 am when the elderly resident of Gizhod, Janakdev Sah was passing by the Kanchanjunga Market area near Sector 24 police station. A white Audi, speeding, struck the elderly man. Despite his attempts to evade, it was too late. The impact sent him flying high into the air and landing at a distance, which led to his immediate demise. This entire episode was captured on a nearby CCTV camera.
