In a bizarre incident in Greater Noida West, the Bisrakh police swung into action after two vehicles with the same number plate were discovered. The culprit, caught using a fake license plate, was arrested by police. Interrogation revealed that the vehicle, received as part of a dowry and on finance, caused a rift leading the accused to adopt a false identity for the car.
A video that went viral on social media showed two identical cars with the same number plate parked in a society's lot. They had the same color and model. The actual owner of one car is Saurabh Verma, a resident of Nirala Estate. An acquaintance informed him about the existence of the identical car at Devika Homes' parking.
Saurabh immediately went to Devika Homes, recorded videos, and clicked multiple photos, bewildered by the existence of a car that matched his own in model and number plate. He filed a complaint with the Bisrakh police station, which resulted in the arrest of the individual using the fake plate at the Devika Homes society.

The accused, identified as Shivam from Delhi, explained to the police that he had gotten married in February 2023. A Nexon car was given to him as part of the dowry, which his in-laws had financed. The car was registered in his wife's name. After a dispute with his wife a short time post-marriage, he moved the car to Greater Noida.
Subsequently, his wife filed a case at the Moti Nagar station in Delhi. To evade the finance company, he placed the fake number plate on the Nexon and parked it in the Devika Gold Home Society's lot. The police have currently apprehended the accused and are proceeding with further action.
