Each year, millions of farmers sell their cotton crop in markets, but often miss out on the benefits of the Minimum Support Price (MSP). They sometimes rely on middlemen, resulting in unfair prices. To eliminate this, the Indian Government's Cotton Corporation of India (CCI) has introduced the 'Kapas Kisan' mobile app. With this app, farmers can register online and book slots to sell their crops from the comfort of their homes.

Register by September 30

The ‘Kapas Kisan’ app, launched by CCI, is available for download from the Google Play Store and Apple IOS App Store. Farmers in Akola wishing to sell their cotton must register on the app by September 30.

Using the Kapas Kisan app, farmers connect directly with the government purchasing system, streamlining the entire digital and paperless process. The system guarantees MSP, ensuring payment is directly transferred to the farmer's bank account.
