The U.S. is gearing up for presidential elections this year, with political fervor and rhetoric intensifying. Nikki Haley, a former diplomat in the race for the Republican nomination, has made a significant statement. She has declared India's lack of confidence in American leadership, citing India's wise decision to maintain ties with Russia. 'They see that we are weak,' she said.
In an interview with Fox Business News on Wednesday, Haley said, 'The problem is India doesn't trust us to be victorious. They lack faith in us as leaders. They currently perceive us as the weak link. India prefers to ally with America over Russia, but lacks trust in us as leaders.'
Having served as an ambassador in the Trump administration, Haley stated that she has worked with India and spoken with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. She commends India’s strategic astuteness, as it remains closely aligned with Russia in the current global context.
India has always displayed wisdom: Haley
Responding to a question about India, she said, 'I have worked with India and spoken with Prime Minister Modi. India wants to partner with us, not with Russia. But the challenge is their lack of trust in us for victory. India has always shown wisdom. Even now, it is acting prudently and staying close to Russia because that's where it's currently getting much of its military equipment.'
She further stated, 'When we begin leading again, once we start addressing our weaknesses, then our friends—India, Australia, New Zealand, Israel, Japan, South Korea—will want to do the same. Japan has provided itself with a multi-billion dollar stimulus to reduce dependence on China. Similarly, India has granted itself billions of dollars in incentives to decrease reliance on China.'
China is preparing for war with the U.S.: Haley
During the interview, Haley also claimed that China is preparing for war with the U.S. and the Chinese government has become more controlling. They are not performing well economically, which is why their government has tightened its grip. They have been preparing for war with us for years. This is their mistake.
The 51-year-old diplomat, also a former governor of South Carolina, Nikki Haley, is positioning herself as a Republican candidate for the forthcoming presidential election. Haley stands as the sole contender against former President Donald Trump.
