Upon India's request, Thai police apprehended the Luthra brothers in Phuket. Recently, a tragic fire in a Goa nightclub claimed 25 lives. Founded by the Luthra brothers, this club witnessed a devastating blaze, after which they fled. On December 6, located in Arpora, Goa, the 'Birch by Romeo' nightclub suffered a catastrophic fire. This incident resulted in 25 painful deaths and left many injured. Subsequently, the founders fled to Phuket and have been accused in the case.
In response, authorities suspended the passports of the main suspects, Gaurav and Saurabh Luthra, in the nightclub fire to prevent further escape. Officials state this action is a significant milestone, potentially easing extradition to India through Interpol and diplomatic channels. Now under detention, this marks a substantial move.
According to sources, the Indian Ministry of External Affairs received a formal request from the Goa government to cancel the Luthra brothers' passports. On Tuesday, Interpol issued a 'Blue Corner Notice' against both brothers.

No Relief from Court...
Following the incident, the Luthra brothers filed for interim bail in court. On Wednesday, the court denied any temporary relief, with a further hearing set for Thursday. Senior advocates Siddharth Luthra and Tanvir Ahmed Mir represented the brothers. Their lawyer argued, 'I wish to return to India, but they intend to arrest me. I fear I am a target of a witch hunt.'
