RG Kar Medical College Trainee Doctor Rape Murder:

A trainee doctor at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital in Kolkata was brutally murdered after being raped. The rapist killer, Sanjay Roy, has been caught by the police. However, this case remains so complicated that everyone is shocked. Now, by the order of the Kolkata High Court, the investigation has been handed over to the CBI from the Kolkata Police. Immediately after, Dr. Suvarna Goswami, Additional General Secretary of the All India Government Doctors Association, made a sensational revelation.

Question after Question!

- Was it not just rape but gang rape of the trainee junior doctor in the government hospital of Kolkata? - Were there more people involved in this incident besides the accused Sanjay Roy? - If yes, who are those people, and why has the Kolkata police not been able to find them yet?

151 Grams of Liquid Found in Private Part

Dr. Suvarna Goswami, citing the post-mortem report, claimed that this case is not just of rape but gang rape. According to him, the report clearly states that 151 grams of liquid was found in the junior doctor's private part. He claims that this liquid is mostly semen. It might contain mucus or two to three other substances.

Rape or Gang Rape?

According to Dr. Suvarna Goswami, finding 151 grams of liquid in the private part is proof that more than one person raped the junior doctor. That means the case is of gang rape. He explained that, on average, a person's semen is around five grams. However, whether it is a case of rape or gang rape can only be confirmed when the DNA report comes. The DNA analysis will reveal whether the semen found in the junior doctor's private part belongs to one person or more than one.

Conspiracy to Destroy Evidence

Referring to the wounds found on the junior doctor's body, Dr. Suvarna Goswami said the manner and force with which the junior doctor was attacked do not seem to be the work of one person alone. Meanwhile, after the case was handed over to the CBI, the protesting doctors have alleged that the Kolkata police had conspired to destroy the necessary evidence. They claim that the police did not seal the third-floor seminar hall of the hospital where the junior doctor was killed. Instead, they started demolition and repair work on the same floor and the same seminar hall.

Police Haven't Sealed the Crime Scene Yet

The seminar hall on the third floor of RG Kar Hospital is where the body of the trainee junior doctor in the chest department was found on the morning of August 9. The pictures captured by the media clearly show that the Kolkata police have not sealed this seminar hall. This is very crucial in such cases. The seminar hall contains mattresses, tables, benches, machines, along with red wooden and plastic chairs. Following the order of the Kolkata High Court, the CBI started the investigation. The Kolkata police have handed over the accused Sanjay Roy to the CBI from their custody.

Why So Much Leniency Towards Sandeep Ghosh?

Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, also emphasizes that instead of delivering justice to the victim, efforts were made to save the accused by the hospital and local administration. Now, the then principal of the medical college, Sandeep Ghosh, is under the scanner. He was not removed from his position initially. After resigning, he was immediately given a new appointment by the Mamata government. However, following the protest by doctors, the new appointment was stopped. This raises the question: why so much leniency towards Sandeep Ghosh? Is Sandeep Ghosh the link in this case that is connected somewhere else?
