In a devastating turn of events in Sonipat, Uttar Pradesh, a young man was brutally murdered with a knife. It is reported that a neighbor invaded his home and inflicted the fatal wounds. The family rushed the critically injured victim to the medical college, but he passed away during the transport. Upon receiving the news of the incident, the police immediately arrived at the scene, took custody of the body, and initiated a thorough investigation.
Rohit (23), a crane driver from Khedi Road residing in Panipat, had only returned home on Wednesday, having recently lost his father. The mobile SIM in question, originally under Rohit's name, was being used by his nephew. A few days prior, their neighbor Monu had taken the SIM card.
Young Man Fatally Stabbed in Home Invasion
When Rohit confronted Monu about the SIM card early Friday morning, Monu responded with vile language over the phone. Shortly thereafter, armed with a knife, he entered Rohit's residence and unleashed a savage attack, resulting in Rohit's death. During the attack, Rohit's mother attempted to intervene but was forcefully ejected from the home by the assailant.
Police File Case and Commence Investigation
Wounded and bleeding profusely, Rohit was taken to the civil hospital by the family. Given the severity of his condition, the doctors referred him to the women's medical college hospital at Khanpur Kalan. However, he succumbed to his injuries en route. The Gannaur ACP and station head officer swiftly reached the scene, reviewed the situation, and launched an investigation. The police have assured that the perpetrator will soon be apprehended.
