The disclosure of the NEET UG 2024 exam results has led to student outrage against NTA, with protests continuing from social media to the streets. Amidst this, a Lucknow student has filed a petition against NTA at the High Court. She claims to have scored 715 out of 720 according to the answer key, yet NTA states her result can't be released due to a torn OMR sheet.

Ayushi Raises These Allegations

In Lucknow, a student has challenged NTA's examination process, filing a petition at the city's High Court. Ayushi Patel of Lucknow, like so many students, undertook the NEET exam only to find on June 4th that her result was being withheld—the reason cited: a torn OMR sheet. Ayushi, clueless as to how her OMR sheet got damaged, had expected a whopping 715 out of 720 as indicated by the released answer key. Despite this, NTA has declined to publish her results.

NTA Responds

NTA refutes sending a mail with a photograph of the torn OMR sheet to the student. They have dismissed Ayushi's claims as false.

Upon checking online results late on June 4th, Ayushi found NTA's response stating her OMR sheet was torn, and therefore they could not release her results. This revelation shattered Ayushi as she had missed merely one question according to the answer key. Her scores would have guaranteed a spot in a government medical college. Yet, by refusing to release the results, NTA crushed Ayushi's dreams.

NTA Submits Proof via Email

Confused as to how her OMR could be torn, given that she had filled in the circles carefully and submitted the sheet dutifully, Ayushi and her family were stunned by NTA's email. The email contained evidence of the torn OMR sheet, and it was indeed damaged, displaying the circled answers clearly. This has led Ayushi to demand that she not be held accountable for the torn OMR sheet, and her results should not be withheld consequently. With this appeal, she has initiated a petition at the Lucknow bench of the High Court, asking to halt further proceedings of the NEET result until the court reaches a decision.

Distressed Mother Calls for Justice for Her Daughter

Ayushi's father, Santosh Patel, runs a small medical store in Alambagh, and her mother, Shashi Patel, is a homemaker. Despite her grueling schedule, arriving home from coaching at 7 PM and avoiding a full meal to escape sleepiness at night, Ayushi's immense effort seems nullified by NTA's oversight. Her mother pleads for justice, emphasizing the hard work and honest examination attempt Ayushi undertook. She insists that her daughter deserves to see her results and that injustice should not be meted out. Everyone is now awaiting the High Court's decision due on Wednesday.
