Astonishing news has emerged from Mumbai. A tenth-grade student from the Ghatkopar area has made serious accusations against her biological mother and a male neighbor. According to the girl, since April of this year until the complaint was filed, the duo coerced her into prostitution to earn money. Tearfully, the student claimed, 'My mom and uncle make me do this.'
Confession to Class Teacher
On Wednesday, police officials reported that unable to endure the abuse anymore, the girl approached her class teacher alongside a friend to narrate her ordeal. She confided in the teacher about an attempt to escape, where she stayed at a friend's house for three days, but upon returning home, was forced back into the same heinous activities.
The teacher was shocked upon hearing the girl's story and immediately informed school officials. Subsequently, the school administration promptly alerted the local police.
Based on the complaint, a case was registered on Tuesday night against the girl's mother and neighbor at the Ghatkopar police station. They have been charged under various sections of the Indian Penal Code, including Section 64 (rape), Section 98 (selling minors for prostitution), along with relevant sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. Given the gravity of the situation, the police have initiated further investigations.
