The first image of the suspect who attacked Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan inside his residence has emerged. On Thursday, Mumbai Police disclosed that the assailant entered the house with theft intentions through the fire escape stairs, lingering there for several hours. The suspect was captured on the CCTV footage of the building situated in Bandra, where Saif resides on the 12th floor with his family.

This shocking incident occurred around 2:30 AM in the posh Bandra locality at the actor’s house, precisely in a children's room, when a domestic help spotted the intruder and raised the alarm. Hearing the commotion, Saif Ali Khan entered the room and confronted the intruder, leading to a violent scuffle where the actor was stabbed six times. The domestic help also suffered minor injuries. The 54-year-old actor underwent surgery for a severe injury to his spine and is now in a stable condition.

The suspect has been identified but managed to flee the scene. The police have organized ten teams to apprehend him.

Identification of the Suspect Based on Dump Data

Following the incident, police analyzed the area’s dump data from that time, identifying active mobile networks in the vicinity. This led to the identification of the suspect. Police sources suggest that the individual might be a repeat offender with a criminal history. The nature of the crime hints that the attacker might have been involved in similar criminal cases before. Police suspect only a cunning and experienced criminal could execute such a daring act.

Intruder Was Inside for Several Hours

Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Dixit Gedam stated, "This incident took place last night when a suspect entered Saif Ali Khan's residence. The suspect used fire exit stairs to gain entry, seemingly intending to commit theft. The fire exit was used not only for access but also as a means of escape. The suspect has been identified, and ten teams are on the case."

Mumbai Police officials confirmed off the record that after the attack, Khan was rushed to the hospital by his family and staff. When queried about how the suspect managed to enter Saif Ali Khan's house, it was revealed that the suspect was inside the house for several hours before the attack. Officials have reviewed 25 to 30 CCTV footage clips related to the case to gather further evidence.
