In the confines of Banda Jail, Uttar Pradesh, mafia don Mukhtar Ansari's predicaments grow. Upon hearing his sentence, he was visibly distressed. Addressing the court, he implored, 'Your Honor, I am innocent.' Subsequent to his plea, he covered his face with his hands and bowed his head in resignation. The jail administration then transferred Mukhtar to solitary confinement.
Since the announcement of his sentence, security in the prison has been intensified. It's noteworthy that the court handed Ansari a life sentence in a decades-old fake license case and also fined him two lakh rupees.
Following such turn of events, Mukhtar Ansari appeared agitated in front of the court. He desperately appealed to the court, claiming he was being framed. Afterward, he hung his head low, covering his face with his hands.
Life Altered in Solitary Confinement
Post-verdict, the jail authority immediately sent him back to his cell. Ansari, linked via video conferencing from Banda Jail, seems troubled these days. It's been quite some time since any of his loved ones have visited. The solitary confinement has significantly changed his everyday life; when he wakes, eats, or sleeps remains unknown to others.
Security Beefed Up During The Trial
For Ansari's court appearance, an entourage of security personnel was deployed, including the jail superintendent, three deputy jailers, and several body-cam-equipped guards. The jail superintendent, Veeresh Raj Sharma, assured that the security arrangements for Mukhtar Ansari were stringent. Equipped guards stood vigilant, and continuous surveillance was maintained via CCTV. A combined force of PAC, civil police, and jail police, totaling over 150 personnel, were assigned to security duties.
