In a heart-wrenching case from Sonipat, Haryana, police have arrested a mother for the murder of her two innocent children. The arrested woman, Ruby, is a resident of Adarsh Nagar in Sonipat. On February 22, Ruby had filed a missing report for her two children. However, police interrogation revealed a shocking truth: Ruby, along with her lover Nitin, had orchestrated the death of the two youngsters.
Police arrested Nitin and sent him to jail. Now, in a startling development, authorities have apprehended Ruby, presenting her in court, resulting in her imprisonment too. Reports indicate that on February 22, Ruby had informed the police that she was divorced from her husband for seven years and lived with her son Vansh, aged 10, and Yash, aged 7. On February 21, she had dropped her sons at the school in Mashad Mohalla before going to work.
Filed a case of kidnapping for the children
Returning home in the evening, Ruby did not find her sons. Inquiry at the school revealed the children had already left for home. She suspected their abduction, prompting a kidnapping case to be registered by the police on February 22.
According to police, Ruby had revealed her affair with Nitin from Kabirpur after persistent questioning. She confessed Nitin had repeatedly threatened to kill her children.
Nitin did not want the children with him
The station officer at Civil Line reported that Ruby, together with her paramour Nitin, executed the children's murder. Ruby had taken custody of the children following her divorce. However, Nitin was not willing to keep the children with him, leading to Ruby suggesting that he take the children far away.
Murdered the children after taking them to Baghpat
Nitin subsequently took the children to Goripur village in Baghpat, Uttar Pradesh, where he strangled them with a clutch wire. Their bodies were recovered the next morning on February 23. Interrogation of the woman revealed her complicity in the murder, in collaboration with her lover. Initial investigation had not implicated the woman.
