A court in Banda district, Uttar Pradesh, has found a husband guilty and sentenced him to death. Driven by jealousy, the husband gruesomely beheaded his wife with a sharp weapon. Displaying his monstrosity, he then walked to the police station, clutching her severed head by the hair. This horrifying incident left bystanders shaken. During the trial, the prosecution presented 11 witnesses, 5 judges were replaced, and over 60 dates were set. The court finally sentenced the guilty husband to death.

The incident occurred in Nehta Nagar of Baberu police station area. Kinnar Yadav, 39, suspected his wife Vimla Devi of having an illicit affair. On October 9, 2020, he allegedly beheaded her with a hatchet and then attacked a man (the wife's alleged lover). Following this, he walked to the police station with his wife's severed head, declaring to the officers present, 'Sir, I killed her.'

Seeing the severed head shocked both passersby and police officers. The police sent the woman's mutilated body for post-mortem and rushed the injured lover to the hospital. Yadav was arrested and a case was registered under section 302 and other relevant sections. The investigation began immediately.

Government advocate Vijay Bahadur Singh Parihar stated that the incident occurred in Baberu police station area on October 9, 2020. Kinnar Yadav brutally murdered his wife Vimla, beheading her and walking on the road with her head. The court found him guilty, sentencing him to death and imposing a fine of ten thousand rupees.

The verdict took nearly four years to come as one of the key witnesses, who was injured, had left the village and took two and a half years to be tracked down. A total of 11 witnesses were presented, with nearly 60 court dates scheduled and 5 judges replaced.

The motive behind the crime was Yadav's suspicion of his wife’s character. In his rage, he had intended to kill both his wife and the alleged lover, but the young man escaped, saving his life. The incident showcases the extreme measures taken by the husband due to his baseless mistrust.

SP Ankur Agarwal stated that efforts are being made to expedite the process of justice in all court cases. 'I personally monitor each case,' he said. 'In this particular murder case, justice has been served impartially, resulting in a death sentence.'
