Mohan Bhagwat, the Sarsanghchalak of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), addressed the 'Intellectual Conference' held in Bhopal as part of the centenary celebration of RSS on Friday. During the event, Bhagwat articulated the ideology and future goals of RSS.

At the Ravindra Bhavan event, he discussed significant aspects related to Hindutva, language, organizational expansion, and RSS-BJP relationships. He conveyed that RSS should not be perceived solely from the perspectives of BJP or the Vishwa Hindu Parishad.

Bhagwat asserted that RSS is not a remote control of any political party but an organization dedicated to societal development. The organization was established to peacefully organize Hindus. He mentioned that Hinduism is not a caste but a mindset that respects all faiths and communities.

Many Areas Still Unreached by RSS- Bhagwat

Discussing organizational expansion, he noted that presently, around 6 million volunteers are associated with RSS, whereas approximately a billion people in the country identify as Hindus. He expressed concern that nearly 10,000 urban localities and several other areas are yet to be fully reached by RSS. Bhagwat stated, 'Reaching such localities is crucial. The values imparted at RSS branches guide society’s direction. Although this system was stronger before, it is essential to reinforce it again.'

He noted that from sages to numerous national and international organizations are associated with RSS. Individuals from countries like America and Africa come to understand RSS's working methodology and request training on how RSS prepares its youth.

Regarding the language issue, Mohan Bhagwat emphasized learning three languages - the state language, the national language, and the global language. He suggested learning from China on how to organize a great nation.

Uniting Society is RSS's Purpose

Mohan Bhagwat clarified that Hindutva is not a 'caste' but a 'mindset.' He stated that Hindu, Hindavi, and Bharat are synonymous and have remained relevant since time immemorial.

Addressing misconceptions regarding RSS and its affiliated organizations, he remarked, 'Anyone trying to understand RSS by looking at BJP, Vishwa Hindu Parishad, or Vidya Bharati will never grasp the core idea of RSS.' He emphasized that RSS's work is to unite society, impart values, and build noble life principles, rather than limiting itself to a single organization or party.
