Prime Minister Modi shared how countless generations in Jammu and Kashmir dreamt of rail connectivity. I saw a statement from former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah yesterday which I shared during my speech. He mentioned waiting for this project's completion since his school days in classes seven or eight. Today, this dream of millions has turned into reality. All the good deeds seem to have waited for me, he reflected. Most villagers had only watched train videos. It’s surreal to them that a real train will pass before their eyes now. Many people have memorized the train timings, I’ve read.

The presence of institutions like IIT, IIM, AIIMS, and NIT alongside central universities in Jammu and Srinagar augments this. A research ecosystem is expanding, with remarkable strides in both education and healthcare. Notably, two state-level cancer institutes have emerged in recent years.
New medical facilities have opened in the past five years, seven to be precise. A medical college’s presence significantly benefits patients and the youth of that region.

Jammu Kashmir now sees its AIIMS seats increase from 500 to 1300. I’m delighted that the Reasi district will soon have a new medical college. The Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Institute of Medical Excellence stands not only as a modern hospital but also a testament to our culture of giving.

Funds for this medical college were donated by visitors from across India paying respect at Mata Vaishnavdevi’s feet. I extend heartfelt congratulations to the Shri Mata Vaishnavadevi Shrine Board, and its chairman Manoj, for their dedication to this sacred cause. This hospital’s capacity is increasing from 300 to 500 beds. Pilgrims visiting Mata Vaishno Devi in Katra will find considerable convenience thanks to this.

Commitment to Serving the Poor: 11 Years of Service Initiatives
Prime Minister Modi expressed that the BJP-NDA government at the center has dedicated 11 years to the welfare of the poor. Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, the dream of a permanent house has been realized for 4,00,00,000 impoverished families. The Ujjwala Yojana ended smoke in 10,00,00,000 kitchens, protecting the health of our sisters and daughters. The Ayushman Bharat scheme has provided free treatment up to 5,00,000 rupees for 50,00,00,000 underprivileged people. Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana has assured full meals in every plate. For the first time, the Jan Dhan Yojana opened bank doors for over 50,00,000 underprivileged individuals. The Saubhagya Yojana illuminated households with electricity for 2,50,00,000 families living in darkness. The construction of 12,00,00,000 toilets under the Swachh Bharat Mission liberated people from the compulsion of open defecation. The Jal Jeevan Mission started delivering tap water to 12,00,00,000 new homes, easing women's lives. From the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, 10,00,00,000 small farmers received direct financial aid.
He shared how these government efforts over the past 11 years helped 25,00,00,000 individuals combat poverty, breaking free to become part of the new middle class.
Pahalgam Attack on Humanity and Kashmiri Culture: Prime Minister Modi
Prime Minister Modi emphasized how tourism creates jobs and connects people. Unfortunately, our neighboring country's mentality stands against humanity and unity. It opposes tourism and even resents the livelihood of the poor.
Pakistan’s attack on Pahalgam was an assault on both humanity and Kashmiri culture. Its intent was to incite riots in India and halt the earnings of Kashmir's hardworking people. Thus, Pakistan attacked tourists. Despite such opposition, tourism has been growing continuously over the years. Record numbers of tourists have visited annually, upon whom many families in Jammu and Kashmir rely. Pakistan targeted precisely this.
Whether it's the horse riders, porters, guides, guest house operators, shops, or eateries—Pakistan's plot aimed to destroy them all.
The young man Adil, who opposed terrorism, was also working to support his family. Yet, the terrorists killed him too.

Hospitals were devastated, and several generations were ruined. Ensuring people can elect their representatives, that elections can take place, was a significant challenge due to terrorism.
After enduring terrorism for years, Jammu and Kashmir had witnessed such devastation that its residents stopped dreaming, accepting terrorism as their fate.
Breaking Jammu and Kashmir from this state was essential, and we have shown it’s possible. Today, the youth of Jammu and Kashmir are dreaming new dreams and realizing them. Kashmir's youth now boosts markets, malls, and cinemas with life. Residents are eager to see Jammu and Kashmir become a central hub for film shoots again and want it to emerge as a center for sports.
This enthusiasm was visible in the Mata Kheer Bhawani festival recently attended by thousands, showcasing the image of a new Jammu and Kashmir. Starting on the 3rd, the Amarnath Yatra will commence alongside bright Eid celebrations all around. The atmosphere of development cultivated in Jammu and Kashmir won’t be shaken by the Pahalgam attack. To all the people of Jammu and Kashmir, Prime Minister Modi promises—development won’t stop here. If any obstacle arises against your dreams, it must first face Modi.
