The Ministry of Home Affairs has formed a committee to investigate the incident at the basement library of Rouse IAS Coaching Center in Old Rajendra Nagar, Delhi. The committee will identify the causes, determine responsibility, suggest remedies, and recommend policy changes. Meanwhile, Delhi's Lieutenant Governor, VK Saxena, has announced a financial aid of 1 million INR for the families of the deceased.
The committee comprises several senior officials, including the Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Principal Secretary of Delhi Government's Home Department, Special Commissioner of Delhi Police, Fire Advisor, and a Joint Secretary from the Ministry of Home Affairs, who will act as the convener.
Announcement of 1 Million INR Aid for Families of the Deceased
Delhi's Lieutenant Governor, VK Saxena, has announced a financial aid of 1 million INR for the families of the three UPSC aspirants who lost their lives in the incident. According to a statement released by the Raj Niwas, the LG confirmed that he had met with protesting students to address their concerns regarding the incident. He assured them that action would be taken within 24 hours against the officials of Delhi Fire Service, Police, and Municipal Corporation of Delhi, who were found responsible for the incident.

Three Students Lost Their Lives in Coaching Incident
On Saturday evening, a major mishap occurred at Rouse IAS Coaching Center in Old Rajendra Nagar, Delhi, leading to the death of three UPSC aspirants. The deceased include Shreya Yadav from Uttar Pradesh, Tanya Soni from Telangana, and Naveen Dalvin from Kerala. It has been reported that over 30 students were studying in the basement library of the coaching center when suddenly, sewer water started flooding the basement, trapping the students.
MCD's Action Following the Incident
Following the incident at the coaching center, the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) has been taking continuous action. Since yesterday, over a dozen coaching centers located in basements have been sealed. Additionally, the MCD has carried out demolition actions at various locations, particularly focusing on removing encroachments.

Delhi Police Arrests Seven People
On Monday, Delhi Police announced that five more people have been arrested in connection with the coaching center incident. The arrested individuals include the owner of the basement and a person whose vehicle damaged the building's gate. According to a statement by Delhi Police, a total of seven people have been arrested in relation to the incident. The Municipal Corporation of Delhi has terminated a junior engineer and suspended an assistant engineer.
