Meta Platforms is on the brink of making a significant overhaul to its platforms, where users will soon see advertisements on their social media apps. According to a Reuters report, Meta will begin testing ads on its social media platforms shortly.

In July 2023, Meta Platforms launched Threads to rival the X platform. The app currently boasts around 300 million monthly active users, and the advertising launch will commence on this platform.

Ads on the Threads platform will appear as images within the home feed, subtly integrated within content posts. Meta Platforms has stated that this is still in the testing phase and ads will be closely monitored. Once all tests are complete, a more widespread rollout is possible.
