At the mega rally in Delhi's storied Ramlila Maidan, Sunita Kejriwal delivered a message from her husband Arvind Kejriwal, who is currently incarcerated. In his words, working towards the creation of a great nation was emphasised. Sunita boldly stated, 'Your Kejriwal is a lion. He cannot be caged for long. He lives in the hearts of millions. The way he is fighting, sometimes it feels as if Kejriwal was a freedom fighter, martyred in a struggle for the country. Fate might have sent Mr. Kejriwal to fight for Mother India.'
Reading from the letter sent by her jailed husband, Sunita shared Arvind Kejriwal's six guarantees with the public:
India free from power cuts
Food for everyone
Quality government schools across the nation
Mohalla clinics in every village and multi-specialty hospitals in every district
Minimum Support Price for farmers as per Swaminathan Commission
Full statehood for Delhi
'Mother India in profound pain...'
Continuing with Kejriwal's message, Sunita expressed, 'India is a great nation, yet why are we still underdeveloped? Why are our people poor? I am in jail, suffering the agony of our Mother India who is in pain watching many Indians go hungry, lacking good education, and witnessing power cuts. Let us create a new India, an India of 1.4 billion people where everyone is fed, where no one is uneducated, and everyone receives a quality education. We will build an India with no hate, only love and peace. Give INDIA block a chance, and we will construct a new India.'
