Returning from London, Saurabh Rajput from Meerut, a merchant navy officer, never imagined that his wife Muskaan had hatched a lethal plot against him. Together with her newfound lover Sahil, Muskaan not only murdered Saurabh but also devised a horrific plan to conceal his body that shocked even the police. The chilling truth came to light when Muskaan’s mother confided the full story to the authorities.
Chilling Confession from the Mother
Muskaan had been telling neighbors she was planning a trip with Saurabh. After his murder, she locked up the house and went to Himachal with Sahil. They spent a few days in a hotel there. It's reported that Muskaan, with Sahil, attempted to withdraw money from Saurabh’s account. Sources indicate that police found about six lakh rupees in the account, which they attempted to withdraw unsuccessfully. Muskaan later approached her mother for money, and when questioned about Saurabh, nervously unveiled the entire conspiracy. Shocked by the revelation, her mother promptly contacted the police. Following a stringent interrogation, Muskaan confessed to her crime.
Body Discovered in Drum, Police Stunned
Police brought Muskaan and Sahil to search the house. Inside, a sealed drum was found filled with cement. It took hours to extract the body, which was ultimately sent to the mortuary for further examination.
Horrifying Plot by Wife and Lover
In Meerut's Brahmapuri area, Saurabh lived with his wife Muskaan Rastogi and their 5-year-old daughter. Having been stationed in London, he had recently returned to Meerut. After a love marriage in 2016, tensions had grown between Saurabh and his family, resulting in a move to Indiranagar three years ago with his wife and daughter. On the 4th, upon his arrival in Meerut, Muskaan and Sahil had already planned his murder.
They lured Saurabh home, attacked him with a knife, and killed him. To dispose of the body, they dismembered it, placed it in a large plastic drum, and filled it with cement to avoid suspicion. After the crime, they leisurely traveled to Himachal for a getaway.
SP Declares Muskaan's Confession
Meerut’s SP City Ayush Vikram Singh shared that the Brahmapuri police were informed of the murder in the evening. Investigations revealed Saurabh arrived in Meerut on the 4th and had been missing since. Suspicion led to Muskaan and Sahil’s detention, where during interrogation, they confessed their guilt.
Accused Behind Bars
Currently, both Muskaan and Sahil have been arrested and imprisoned. Given the case's gravity, police are meticulously examining every facet. Investigations continue to determine any additional involvement in the crime.
