BSP Supremo Mayawati has pardoned her nephew, Akash Anand, who was previously expelled from the party. Akash had expressed his apology to Aunt Mayawati through four posts on X, sparking a reaction from her. Demonstrating a big heart, she has forgiven him.
Mayawati stated that owing to Akash Anand's public acknowledgment of his errors and his respect for senior members, along with his decision not to be influenced by his father-in-law concern, he deserves another opportunity in the interest of dedicating his life to the BSP and the movement.
The BSP leader mentioned that following his expulsion, Akash has continuously engaged with people to apologize for his mistakes and pledged not to repeat such errors. Today, he publicly acknowledged his faults and vowed not to be swayed by his father-in-law's viewpoints.
Clarifying Her Stance on Successor
Alongside, Mayawati clarified her position concerning a successor. She wrote on X that she is in good health and committed to working with full devotion like Kanshi Ram for the party and movement as long as her health permits. Therefore, there is no question of appointing a successor. She stands firm and will continue to hold her ground on this decision.
Continued Discontent Towards Akash's Father-in-Law
Nonetheless, Mayawati's dissatisfaction with Akash Anand's father-in-law remains. Mayawati stated that Ashok Siddharth's errors are unforgivable for malicious activities against the party and attempting to sabotage Akash's career. Hence, forgiving him and readmitting him into the party is out of the question.
What Did Akash Anand Say?
In a post on X, Akash Anand begged for Mayawati's forgiveness, pledging to adhere to only the directives given by 'Behanji', and stated he would respect senior and veteran members within the party, learning from their experiences. He appealed to Mayawati to forgive his mistakes and grant him another opportunity to work in the party, promising his eternal gratitude. Moreover, he assured he would refrain from any actions that might affect the self-respect and dignity of the party and 'Behanji'.
What Was the Issue?
It should be noted that BSP leader Mayawati had expelled Akash Anand from the party last month. His expulsion was attributed to the influence of his father-in-law, Ashok Siddharth. Mayawati explained that this step was taken with the party and movement's welfare in mind.
