'The Matter is in Court, or Much Would Have Happened Already', CM Yogi on Mathura Dispute

The matter is under court consideration, and we are respecting the court's orders. Much could have happened by now otherwise.' When questioned regarding the safety of Muslims in his state, he stated, 'Muslims are safest in Uttar Pradesh. As Hindus are safe here, Muslims too are secure.'

In an interview with a news agency, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath discussed the ongoing Mathura dispute, mentioning that the case is currently pending in court, and they are complying strictly with the legal guidelines. He suggested that otherwise, significant developments would have occurred by now. When approached with questions regarding the safety of Muslims in Uttar Pradesh, CM Yogi asserted their utmost safety within the state.

He was questioned, 'Are Muslims safe in your state?' In response, CM Yogi affirmed, 'Muslims are the safest in Uttar Pradesh. If Hindus feel secure, so do Muslims.' During the discourse, CM Yogi mentioned 'bulldozer justice,' emphasizing that everyone should be communicated with in terms they comprehend.

When asked about Akhilesh's remark that even double engines don't greet each other anymore, the UP CM retorted, 'We respect our current leadership and hold reverence for our ancestors. However, people who idolize Aurangzeb emulate his conduct.' CM Yogi questioned those claiming Aurangzeb as an ideal, if they would enlighten about heroes like Maharana Pratap, Maharana Sangha, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, and Guru Gobind Singh. Can these individuals, who idolize historical figures like Aurangzeb, Babur, and Jinnah, truly understand history?

CM Yogi on Waqf

Addressing waqf matters, CM Yogi questioned, 'What welfare work has been accomplished in the name of waqf? You can't pinpoint a single deed. Whatever land waqf claims as theirs, it's acknowledged without question. It's bewildering. What decree is this? The Joint Parliamentary Committee has made recommendations regarding the Waqf Amendment Act, crucial for today's needs. Progress should be made systematically. I believe it's in national and Muslim interests.'

'The Matter is in Court, or Else...'

Regarding the identification of pilgrimage sites in Sambhal, CM Yogi stated, 'So far, fifty-four pilgrimage sites have been identified, and we will discover more.' When questioned about the Mathura issue, he asserted, 'Why wouldn't we raise Mathura's concerns? Isn't it Lord Krishna's birthplace? The case is in court, thus we abide by the judicial directive. Under different circumstances, much would have occurred by now.'
