In the Kosi Kalan area of Mathura district, Uttar Pradesh, local residents unexpectedly attacked a police team that was surveying a gambling den. In the ensuing chaos, stones were thrown, injuring two officers. Due to the incident's severity, additional police forces were called in to calm the situation. Identifying the attackers is now a priority for law enforcement.
According to the agency, Sub-Inspector Sandeep Singh, along with three officers, visited the newly-exposed gambling den in the Nikasa area of Kosi Kalan. As the police team was conducting their examination, a crowd suddenly gathered and attacked the police. The attackers fiercely pelted the police vehicle with stones, injuring officers Niklesh and Ankit.

Upon receiving reports of the stone-pelting, police forces from several stations rushed to the scene. The culprits fled immediately as the reinforcements arrived. A case was promptly registered, and a search for the attackers has commenced.
Station House Officer Ajit Singh reported that CCTV footage from the area is being reviewed to identify the suspects. Preliminary investigations suggest that the suspects have currently absconded from their homes. In response to the incident, extra police forces have been strategically deployed to maintain order fully. The police administration assures that the culprits will soon be captured and face strict legal consequences.
