Former Deputy CM of Delhi and AAP leader Manish Sisodia has vacated his government bungalow, transitioning his family to AAP MP Harbhajan Singh's bungalow located at 32 Rajendra Prasad Road. This residence is allotted under the name of the AAP MP and former cricketer Singh. Sisodia was residing at AB-17, which was allotted under CM Atishi's name.
Following the liquor policy scandal accusations, Manish Sisodia resigned from his position. Consequently, the charge of the Education Ministry was delegated to current CM Atishi. The Delhi government then allocated Sisodia's official bungalow to Atishi after she took charge of the Education Ministry.
Reason for Vacating the Official Residence
At the time, Atishi had mentioned that due to the illness of Sisodia's wife, the family should continue staying at the same house. Since then, Sisodia's family had been residing at their old address, while Atishi lived in her private residence. Now, with Atishi becoming the CM, she will be allotted the CM's residence, prompting the removal of her name from the previous house. Thus, Manish Sisodia has vacated this house.
Arvind Kejriwal to Vacate His Bungalow Tomorrow
Please note, former Delhi CM and AAP convenor Arvind Kejriwal is set to vacate his government residence tomorrow (October 4). Following the relocation, Kejriwal and his family will move to 5 Ferozshah Road, residing at the bungalow of AAP MP Ashok Mittal.
Announcement of Vacating the House Was Made Earlier
Earlier, AAP convenor Arvind Kejriwal had resigned from the CM position on September 17. Since then, he had not vacated the official residence at 6 Flagstaff Road in Civil Lines. However, he had already announced the decision to vacate the government bungalow.
How Long Will Kejriwal Stay at Mittal's House?
Delhi Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj stated, 'AAP workers and leaders had invited Arvind Kejriwal to stay at their homes. Following this, Kejriwal decided to return to his constituency (New Delhi). He will reside at AAP MP Ashok Mittal's house until he is re-elected as the Chief Minister of Delhi.'
