'This is why I spent nine months in jail'
Upon his release from Beur Jail in Patna, Manish targeted the Bihar government, alleging a conspiracy against him. According to Manish, his imprisonment was the result of Krishna's incarnation in prison, hinting at the many 'Kans' in Bihar plotting against him.
'I will fulfill the hope in their eyes'
Manish proclaimed that his sentence was handed not by the court but by politicians. Highlighting that the NSA charge against him was removed by the court, he vowed to meet the expectations of the crowd gathered and left his political future open, expressing his desire to transform Bihar through his journalism.
'So big a criminal in Bihar...'
Manish continued his remarks by stressing how he was portrayed as a major criminal in Bihar, to the point where his grandfather's house was seized. He warned of possible future actions by the current 'Kans' government, and despite being released, the trip home was met with no cleared traffic. Manish urged the people in front of his vehicle to make way to avoid further legal troubles.
On the 12th of March 2023, an FIR was filed against Manish following the upload of a video depicting a handcuffed man traveling by train. Manish was accused of inciting public emotion and tampering with the video. Subsequent police action included charges under several sections of the IPC and IT Act. In this case, Patna High Court granted conditional bail to Manish Kashyap.
