Tragic Mandsaur Accident: Vehicle Falls into Well, 10 Dead, 4 Injured

Officials in Mandsaur, Madhya Pradesh, confirm 10 deaths in a Sunday accident as a vehicle falls into a well. Rescue operations continue at the scene.

A devastating incident occurred on Sunday afternoon in Kachariya Village, Sanjit region, Mandsaur district, Madhya Pradesh. A van suddenly slipped off the road and plunged into a well within the Narayangarh police area, carrying 13 passengers. This tragic accident resulted in the death of 10 individuals.

Four passengers managed to swim to safety and were immediately sent to the hospital. Unfortunately, a heroic individual, who entered the well to rescue others, also perished due to inhaling toxic gases present in the well, prompting rescue teams to exercise extra caution.

Upon learning of the event, Deputy Chief Minister Jagdish Deora and Collector Aditi Garg rushed to the location. Both administrative and NDRF teams have been working tirelessly on rescue operations, during which they recovered the victims' bodies.

DIG Manoj Kumar Singh from Mandsaur stated that there were 13 passengers in the vehicle when the accident occurred, leading to the instant death of 9 passengers on-site. During the rescue efforts, a brave local hero managed to save many lives but tragically lost his own. As a result, a total of 10 lives were lost in this catastrophic event, while 4 passengers were successfully rescued. Authorities have expressed deep condolences to the victims' families and have ensured the injured receive the best possible medical care.
