On the shores of Gujarat, the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) and Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in a collaborative operation unearthed a staggering 86 kilograms of narcotics, valued at approximately INR 602 crore. This joint venture led to the arrest of 14 Pakistani nationals. The operation was actively conducted over the past two days.
In a high-tension encounter, the Pakistani nationals attempted to avoid arrest by launching their boat at ATS officers, necessitating a responsive attack from the police. Following this event, all suspects were successfully detained. Security agencies have been engaged in a stringent search operation within Indian maritime boundaries, close to the international seafaring border, for the past 48 hours.
The Indian Coast Guard launched an intelligence-based anti-narcotics operation in the sea. They captured a Pakistani vessel which harbored 14 crew members alongside narcotics estimated to be worth INR 602 crore. The Indian Coast Guard, with the support of ATS and NCB, executed a triumphant mission. The mission involved deploying Indian Coast Guard ships and aircraft carriers. The Coast Guard Ship 'Rajratan', carrying NCB and ATS officials, identified the suspicious vessel. The drug-laden boat's crew attempted to flee but were intercepted by the vigilant Ship 'Rajratan'. The alertness of the ATS and Indian Coast Guard has led to 11 successful operations over the past three years.
Just a day before this action, the NCB busted three labs manufacturing 'Meow Meow', also known as Mephedrone, across Gujarat and Rajasthan, arresting seven individuals and seizing drugs valued close to INR 300 crore.
