Mahindra Thar Roxx Price and Features:
India's leading sport utility vehicle manufacturer, Mahindra & Mahindra, has finally launched the much-awaited Mahindra Thar Roxx officially for sale tonight. The entry-level base petrol variant (MX1) of this 5-door Thar starts at just INR 12.99 lakhs. Meanwhile, the diesel manual version (MX1) starts at INR 13.99 lakhs (ex-showroom).
Tonight, the company has announced prices only for the entry-level variants. Prices for the other variants will be revealed tomorrow, on Independence Day, August 15. Mahindra has packed the entry-level variant of the Thar Roxx with an array of impressive features. Even the base model comes loaded with excellent features.

What's new with the Thar Roxx:
Compared to the 3-door Thar, the Thar Roxx features a brand-new front grille design with 6 double-stacked slots, while the 3-door Thar has 7 slots. The round-shaped headlamps are retained, now paired with C-shaped daytime running lamps and an LED projector setup. Higher variants are expected to come with LED fog lamps. The front bumper incorporates unique design elements, including an integrated fog lamp housing and brushed aluminum bits in the center.
The mid-variant of the Roxx includes 18-inch alloy wheels, while higher variants are expected to feature chunky wheel arches and stylish 19-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. The front door resembles the standard Thar, while the rear door features a uniquely positioned vertical handle. The triangular quarter-glass design of the rear door takes inspiration from the Thar EV concept. Most variants of the Thar Roxx will offer a dual-tone paint scheme with a contrasting black roof, giving it a removable hardtop look.

Power and Performance:
The base variant of the Thar Roxx is equipped with a 2.0-liter turbo petrol engine producing 162hp and 330Nm of torque, paired with a manual transmission. The diesel option offers a 2.2-liter engine generating 152hp and 330Nm of torque, also mated to a manual gearbox.
A Glance at the Cabin:
The interior of the Thar Roxx features the same dashboard as the 3-door variant, but with premium elements like soft-touch materials on the dashboard and door pads. The interior sports a dual-tone theme with beige and dark colors, accented with contrast bits. The top trims elevate the cabin experience with dual 10.25-inch screens for infotainment and instrumentation.
