Today marks a monumental success in the battle against Naxalism for our security forces. Ramdheer Majji, the notorious Naxalite commander and Central Committee Member (CCM), has surrendered early this morning in Bakarkatta, Chhattisgarh, alongside 11 other associates.
Ramdheer Majji, who was considered on par with the infamous Naxalite leader Hidma, had a bounty of 10 million rupees on his head. Following this significant surrender, the MMC zone (Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh) is now proclaimed Naxal-free, signifying a decisive victory in anti-Naxal operations in the region.
Among the surrendered 12 Maoist cadres, in addition to Ramdheer Majji (CCM), are three Divisional Vice Commanders (DVCM) and other notable members. A substantial cache of deadly weapons, including AK-47, 30 carbines, INSAS, .303, and SLR, was recovered during the surrender.

Just Last Month, Hidma Was Eliminated
It’s important to note that sometime back, Hidma was eliminated by security forces. Madvi Hidma was a feared Naxalite commander in the Bastar region and a young member of the CPI (Maoist) Central Committee. As the head of PLGA Battalion-1, he masterminded over 26 significant attacks, including the 2010 Tadmetla attack and 2013 Jheeram Ghati massacre, upon whom a bounty of ₹10 million was sanctioned.
On November 18 last month, he was neutralized during an encounter in the forests of Maredumilli, Alluri Sitaram Raju District, Andhra Pradesh. Six Naxalites, including his wife Raje, were killed in this encounter.
