Post-12th students earn ₹6000 monthly, diploma and graduates more with 'Ladla Bhai' Scheme

Inspired by the 'Ladli Behan' initiative, the Maharashtra government has launched the 'Ladla Bhai' scheme. Under this, high school graduates will receive ₹6000, diploma holders ₹8000, and university graduates ₹10000 monthly. Maharashtra's Chief Minister, Eknath Shinde, announced the program, responding to Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Uddhav Thackeray's concerns on youth unemployment.

CM Shinde highlighted that the government's vision is gender-neutral and will help address unemployment. The 'Ladla Bhai' scheme offers apprenticeships in factories with government-sponsored stipends for the youth.

On June 27th, the Maharashtra government announced the 'Ladli Behan' scheme as part of the budget, providing ₹1500 monthly to women aged 21 to 60. Deputy CM and Finance Minister Ajit Pawar introduced the 2024-25 state budget, stating that the 'Ladli Behan' scheme will be implemented starting July, with expectations that 'Ladla Bhai' will follow suit.

Uddhav Thackeray suggested

thinking about the boys as well after the announcement of the 'Ladli Behan' initiative. He emphasized the need for schemes that support youth employment and development within the state, criticizing current measures as electoral charades with no real 'good days' in sight.
