The Northern Railway has engaged these performers on a six-month contract, not only at Charbagh but also at stations in Ayodhya, Faizabad, and Varanasi. Senior DCM Northern Railway, Jagatosh Shukla, notes that this initiative aims to shield the general public from monkey disturbances.

They work eight-hour shifts, again for minimum wage. This pilot project has been deployed at select stations, and if successful, it may be continued.
