An unprecedented incident of an arrow attack on an Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) stationed at the CBI office in Lucknow has emerged. It is said that 50-year-old Dinesh Murmu from Bihar attacked the ASI with an arrow for questioning him. The officer suffered injuries and was admitted to the Civil Hospital. In the meantime, the police have arrested the accused, Dinesh Murmu.
The ASI, Virendra Singh, is stationed at the CBI office in Lucknow from the Lucknow Police Line. On Friday, Murmu was standing at the CBI office gate. Upon being questioned by the ASI about his presence, Murmu pulled out a bow and arrow from his bag and attacked him. As a result, ASI Virendra Singh was injured and had to be admitted to the Civil Hospital.
It has been revealed that Dinesh Murmu used to work in the railway sector in Bihar but was dismissed in 2000 due to his aggressive behavior and temper. He has previously been imprisoned in 2005 for assaulting a Delhi police officer.
In 2015, Murmu was also jailed by the GRP in Jaunpur for attacking a police officer. During his tenure in the railway sector, Murmu reported a bribery incident involving CBI with the track inspector demanding a bribe of 200 rupees. Consequently, the CBI arrested the inspector and sent him to jail.
As Friday evening approached, ASI Virendra Singh arrived at the CBI gate and noticed Murmu standing by. After a brief interaction, Murmu was asked to leave. However, as he walked a short distance, he extracted a bow and arrow from his bag and attacked, injuring ASI Virendra Singh.
