In the compelling case of engineer Atul Subhash's suicide, the Bengaluru Police successfully detained his wife, Nikita Singhania, from Gurugram, and her mother and brother from Prayagraj. The Singhanias had abandoned their Jaunpur residence under the cloak of night, leaving the house locked as they sought temporary shelter elsewhere, pending an interim bail application in Allahabad High Court.
According to sources, the court has remanded the three accused to 14 days of judicial custody in connection with the Atul Subhash suicide case. Nicita Singhania was apprehended in Gurugram on December 14, while Nisha and Anurag Singhania were arrested in Prayagraj in Uttar Pradesh. Although the police petitioned for custody, the court mandated judicial detention instead.
