Subhash Yadav, an RJD leader and close ally of Lalu Prasad Yadav, has been arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED). Following a thorough 14-hour search across 8 premises, authorities discovered more than just 2 crore in cash at his Danapur residence; they also unearthed documents linked to substantial unaccounted wealth. Subhash Yadav is believed to have connections to the illicit sand trade.

Subhash had contested the 2019 Lok Sabha elections on an RJD ticket. There are several cases against him in Patna related to illegal sand mining. The Income Tax department has also raided his properties in the past.

Previous Saturday, the ED had targeted Subhash Yadav's residence. Known as a sand mafia and close to Lalu Yadav, he is now tightly ensnared by the ED. The raids extended to many of his locations, including his home, on Saturday. Subhash Yadav is an RJD leader, having also contested elections in Jharkhand on an RJD ticket.

About 6 locations, including Danapur, were raided by the ED. According to sources, the RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav's close confidante was visited by the ED team for a raid last Saturday, focusing on his involvement in the sand trade related activities.
