Amid looming threats of a US strike, significant developments are unfolding in Iran. In the past 24 hours, satellite images have captured heightened activity at the nuclear facility situated in the Iranian city of Isfahan. This is the same site targeted by the United States last year, resulting in extensive damage.
The Institute for Science and International Security reports that Iran has once again filled the central entry gate of its underground complex with soil. Fresh layers of soil are also being laid at the southern entry gate of the complex.
It is believed that these moves by Iran are strategic efforts to shield its facilities from potential US aggression. Reports suggest that Iran’s goal is to provide additional protection to storage units containing approximately 408 kilograms of enriched uranium against any possible US assault.

Previous Opening of Entry Gates
Earlier, for engineering purposes, the entry gates at Isfahan were temporarily opened. During this period, tunnels were reinforced with ultra-high-strength concrete.

Iran has further fortified its enriched uranium storage to ensure longevity against attacks, almost akin to building a fortress.

One of the most striking features noted in satellite images is renewed operations within a building above ground, formerly used for centrifuge construction.

Centrifuges are specialized machines crucial in nuclear programs for enriching uranium, a key ingredient for nuclear weapons.
US Caused Devastating Damage to Iran's Nuclear Sites
In June last year, in a bid to target Iran’s nuclear program, the US, along with Israel, launched attacks. The allies claimed Iran was clandestinely developing nuclear weapons under the guise of a civilian program.
On June 13, prompted by these assertions, Israel launched a strike on Iran, which was soon followed by US involvement. The bombing of Iran's Natanz, Fordow, and Isfahan nuclear facilities caused substantial destruction.
However, Iran maintains that its nuclear initiatives are for peaceful purposes and insists it's not pursuing nuclear weaponry. While the US has long sought to negotiate a nuclear deal with Iran on its terms, talks have stalled. Trump now aspires for an unconditional deal once more, though Iran remains defiant amid the threat of force.
