Farhana Bhatt, a former Bigg Boss 19 contestant, has landed herself in a controversy. Recent reports mention her expressing grief over the death of Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Allegedly, he died on February 28th in Tehran, amidst attacks involving Israel and the USA. Farhana stated he will remain alive in her heart, and she prayed to Allah to accept his martyrdom.

Farhana's remarks on Khamenei haven't sat well with users or actress Hina Khan's husband Rocky Jaiswal. Without directly mentioning names, Rocky made a sharp retort. He stated that he doesn't mind who mourns whom, as long as it’s done privately. But if it’s advertised publicly, then public criticism must also be expected.

Rocky's Sarcastic Jab

On March 2nd, Rocky took to his Instagram story, stating – I have never seen these people expressing such love or shedding tears for any Indian, be it soldiers, victims of attacks, government police, or even the esteemed APJ Abdul Kalam. Those who protect you are betrayed while sorrow is reserved for foreigners who consistently oppose your country. Loyalty is everything, and it clarifies all things.

Farhana's Statement

Speaking with Instant Bollywood, Farhana mentioned – He is a personality that cannot be forgotten. He will remain alive in our hearts, and may Allah accept his martyrdom. The Kashmiri community is very distressed by this news; everyone’s heart is shattered.

She further added – You won’t believe, but after 'Sehri', I couldn’t sleep. Today, as I prayed, I was deeply saddened because this shouldn’t have happened. For many, he was a savior. He will live on in our memories.

Diverse Reactions From Different Corners

Farhana's commentary hasn't gone down well with users either. Comments came pouring in, suggesting she speaks of martyrdom yet doesn’t adhere to his principles herself. Some mentioned – Farhana, you do not wear a hijab, yet you couldn't sleep over Khamenei's death? It’s hard to digest. Others advised – If you don’t know the whole story, it's best to stay silent.

Post confirmation of Iran's Supreme Leader's death, protests erupted in some parts of Srinagar on Sunday. Conversely, scenes of celebration were noted in Tehran and other Iranian cities. People were seen dancing on the streets, honking cars, lighting fireworks, while some crowds waved hijabs and chanted slogans in the air.
