Chief Minister of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal, has approached the Delhi High Court, challenging his arrest and the remand granted to the Enforcement Directorate by the trial court last Friday. He has pleaded for an immediate hearing on the matter, requesting it to be scheduled for the next day.
In his petition, Kejriwal argues that his arrest and the remand orders are illegal and states that he is entitled to an immediate release. Furthermore, he has urged the acting Chief Justice to conduct an expedited hearing on Sunday, the 24th of March.
