It's noteworthy that thousands of RCB fans thronged to the Chinnaswamy Stadium to cheer their team and catch a glimpse of the victorious players. During this, a precarious slab over a drain collapsed under the mass, leading to the stampede. The Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) had organized a special event in honor of RCB players. This event drew a crowd into the stadium, and there were allegations of inadequate safety and crowd management measures before the event started.
