Massive Turnout of RCB Fans
It's noteworthy that thousands of RCB fans thronged to the Chinnaswamy Stadium to cheer their team and catch a glimpse of the victorious players. During this, a precarious slab over a drain collapsed under the mass, leading to the stampede. Witnesses reported numerous people tumbling and getting crushed in the frenzy, with 11 fatalities and many injuries. The Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) had organized a special event in honor of RCB players. This event drew a crowd into the stadium, and there were allegations of inadequate safety and crowd management measures before the event started.
