Kanpur: Massive Boulder on Track! Engine Collision Derails 22 Carriages of Sabarmati Express, IB Investigating

A conspiracy is suspected in the Kanpur train accident. The railway claims that the Sabarmati Express derailed after hitting a large boulder on the track. The Intelligence Bureau (IB) has been called in for the investigation. The UP police are also monitoring the situation closely.

Early this morning, a train accident occurred in Kanpur, UP, where 22 carriages derailed. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw stated that the engine of the Sabarmati Express (en route from Varanasi to Ahmedabad) collided with an object placed on the track around 2:35 AM. This caused the train to derail. Post-incident, some marks were found near the 16th coach from the engine. Initial investigations indicate no fractures in the railway track.

The Railway Minister also mentioned on his social media platform that all evidence has been secured. Both the IB and UP police are thoroughly investigating the matter. Fortunately, no injuries were reported among passengers or staff. Alternative train arrangements have been made for passengers traveling to Ahmedabad.

Kanpur ADM City Rakesh Verma stated that although 22 carriages were derailed, no injuries were reported. All passengers are being transported back to the station by bus. A memo train is also approaching the site. Miraculously, there have been no casualties or injuries.

It’s noteworthy that the Sabarmati Express met with an accident late Friday night, causing 22 carriages to derail. Luckily, there was no loss of life or property.

According to the train driver, the accident seems to have been caused by the engine colliding with a boulder on the track. As soon as the engine hit the boulder, the cattle guard was bent.

Senior officials are present at the site and control room. The derailed train has been dispatched. Railway helpline numbers have been issued for passenger assistance.

Goods Train Derailed at Siliguri's Ranga Pani

Another incident occurred in Siliguri, Ranga Pani, West Bengal. A goods train carrying fuel derailed in a private yard late at night. This was the third train accident in the region within two months, following a previous accident 15 days prior involving another goods train and a fatal accident in June involving the Kanchenjunga Express, which resulted in several deaths and injuries.
