Siliguri Ranga Pani Freight Train Derailment

Late night in Siliguri-Ranga Pani area, a freight train derailed while carrying fuel. The Ministry of Railways stated that the accident happened in a private yard, hence unrelated to the ministry.

This incident follows another freight train derailment in the same Ranga Pani area just 15 days earlier. Additionally, in June this year, the Kanchanjanga Express derailed in the same region, resulting in several fatalities and injuries. This area has thus seen three train accidents within two months.
