In a critical breakthrough, Jamshedpur police have solved a shooting case. On April 6th, Mohammad Afzal was the victim of gunfire, with a bullet striking him in the mouth. The police have since arrested both suspects involved in the shooting.
It happened in the Garib Nawaz Colony near the Eidgah grounds on April 6th. What initiated the conflict was a tip-off. The RPF conducted a raid at Afzal's residence, spiraling events into gunfire.
There was suspicion about rice from the Food Corporation of India being illicitly offloaded in Jugslai. Following the raid, Afzal suspected that Sarfaraz had informed on him. A confrontation unfolded, and Afzal, with accomplices, assaulted Sarfaraz and confined him at home. When Sarfaraz's mother visited Afzal's home, she was also attacked.
Upon learning of this, Sarfaraz's younger brother, Mohammad Hasan, armed with a pistol, rushed to Afzal's home and shot him. He then rescued his brother Sarfaraz. The police arrested Mohammad Hasan and Mohammad Sarfaraz, who are now incarcerated. SSP Kishore Kaushal disclosed during a press conference the arrests and confirmed that the pistol and shell casings had been seized.
