An alarming case of unlawful collections by Jaipur's traffic police has surfaced. A viral video reveals the officers soliciting money from drivers without official fines. The footage was captured by a student attending coaching classes at Riddhi-Siddhi intersection who had noticed the misconduct multiple times.

Once the officers realized they were being filmed, they attempted to apologize, beseeching the student not to upload the video. However, tensions escalated. Allegedly, the constables summoned the student, assaulted him, seized his mobile, and pressured him to delete the evidence. Despite objections, his phone was shattered.

Outraged by the assault and threats, the student reported the incident to DCP Traffic. Acknowledging the gravity, DCP Sumit Mehrada promptly suspended the officers involved, assuring that both the viral video and complaint were taken seriously.
